Gabrielle Sunseri
Co-Founder · Personal Trainer · Volleyball Coach
Gabrielle Sunseri is the co-founder of Blueprint Athletics and is passionate about bringing people together on and off the court. She loves creating opportunities for competition, connection, and community, and she sees Blueprint Athletics as a place where people can grow not just as athletes, but as part of something bigger. With a lifelong background in athletics and a deep love for volleyball, she has experienced firsthand the joy, growth, and community that sport and training can bring — and she is driven to help others experience that too.
As a personal trainer, Gabby is known for her technical eye and her educational, hands-on coaching style. She challenges people to raise their standard and step outside their comfort zone. She believes people have more in them than they realize, and she loves helping them unlock that through smart training, technical coaching, and a deeper understanding of the why behind the work. Gabby has experience working with young athletes (ages 10–16) who play volleyball, basketball, and soccer, as well as working with the general population (ages 25 to 70) who focus on overall strength and fitness, mobility/flexibility, and athleticism.
As a volleyball player and coach, Gabby started her volleyball career in high school, played club beach volleyball for Liberty University in 2016, and continues to compete on the east coast. She has coached since 2018 and worked with athletes at the middle school, high school, and junior college levels. She is currently on the coaching staff of CHAVC and Blue Sky Volleyball, coaching ages 13 to 15. She is passionate about helping players develop their technical foundation, grow in confidence, and strengthen the skills and mindset needed to compete at a higher level.
Through Blueprint Athletics, Gabby's goal is to help people discover what they are capable of — while being part of a community that makes training and competition more meaningful.

Dryden Baumfalk
Co-Founder · Sports Performance Consultant · Volleyball Coach
Dryden Baumfalk is a co-founder of Blueprint and a postdoctoral associate at Duke University School of Medicine, where his work focuses on the physiology of exercise, performance, and clinical health. He earned his Ph.D. in Physiology from Kansas State University, with additional training in exercise physiology and undergraduate degrees in human nutrition and kinesiology. His background reflects a strong foundation in the biological and nutritional principles that underpin human performance. While he is not doing research, he is training or playing volleyball, where he seeks to be and help others find the best versions of themselves.
Dryden's research examines how exercise and nutrition influence cardiovascular, skeletal muscle, and metabolic function, with particular attention to conditions involving high physiological stress. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including Exercise and Sport Sciences Reviews, Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, and the American Journal of Physiology, contributing to work aimed at preserving function and improving recovery through targeted exercise and nutrition strategies. Throughout his career, Dryden has experience in applied performance testing, body composition assessment, and physiological evaluation testing. His coaching/consultation approach emphasizes using sound scientific evidence to inform practical decisions that support athletic health and long-term performance goals.
Outside his scientific credentials, Dr. Baum brings extensive volleyball experience through both competition and leadership within the sport. He serves as Operations Director for Gainesville Volleyball, Inc., an AVP America affiliate and host organization for major national events, including the AVP Grass Nationals. Through this role, he works closely with national-caliber athletes and AVP staff, gaining direct insight into the physical demands, competitive structure, and performance requirements of high-level volleyball across grass and sand formats. He has also co-hosted volleyball clinics for both youth and adult players from beginners to experts. This exposure informs his evidence-based approach to exercise and nutrition counseling, and volleyball training.
